Lily F. Booker is a professional tap dancer who began dancing at the age of three. She trained extensively under Aaron Tolson and served as a former dance captain of his pre-professional tap company, Speaking in Taps. Lily is an alum of the 2023 Tap Dance Program at Jacob’s Pillow, where she deepened her artistry, style, and knowledge with many of the best tap dancers in the industry. 

Lily's performance experience includes dancing with The Hot Sardines at the Berklee Performance Center and performing alongside Svetlana and her jazz ensemble aboard the Emerald Princess cruise ship to name a few. Lily has also studied with tap legend Derick Grant through his immersive Improv Labs and Ensemble Lab, polishing her improvisational voice, musicality, and collaborative performance skills.

Lily is passionate about exploring the evolving relationship between jazz music and tap dance, and she strives to create performances that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds—inviting both seasoned jazz lovers and newcomers alike into the rhythm, history, and joy of the art form.
